    Default UltraPlus redcam

Anyone experimented with redcam on ultra/octa ? mcas is dropping out every few or so minutes, really annoying... thinking redcam might work better, maybe someone can post a working config ?

Which MCAS are you using because it should work flawlessly? There is a new version I posted from the 18/1/12 have you tried this?

Have you tried updating the firmware on your ultraplus? Also update your plugins which will include the latest MCAS. Very easy to install and get working, never had any issues with MCAS and there was new version released this month.

I did a little bit of reading into redcam but found out most of the support was in german and harder to find English forums and English based plugins.

I would try updating your box's firmware (on all boxes) then install the latest MCAS plugin. There is a post in the decoders section, see link below

After updating your box did you reset to factory defaults? or restore from a previous backup?

Are you sharing the card with another box?

You don't need a boxkey with Austar cards plus I don't know that redcam does the 'tweak' that Austar requires hence stick with MCAS.
Delete all your plugins, do a format user data before reloading the MCAS plugin. Then go into the plugin menu, make sure MCAS is set to Auto and Started, highlight MCAS and press OK, select configuration and change reset sequence to T14-T0.

Do a restore to factory default. I'll upload MCAS from Nov as this was working ok with all cards.

Delete all plugins, format user data then load plugin. In the MCAS configuration menu change the reset sequence to T14-T0

    yes,

I have gone back to november mcas. works perfectly with latest firmware and irdeto cards......

No need to change card reset setting for irdeto cards, works fine with default setting.
You did need to change it when using nds cards, but that is not a consideration at the moment, unfortunately.....
