Default CCTV regularly losing connection with server

The only IP PTZ camera among 4 other fixed IP cameras are losing connection with the server so often, but recovers within seconds. These cameras are connected via a wireless mesh system back to the server. However, this connection issue is more or less happening when the view is changing fast due to actions in front of it.

Would this be due to a bandwidth, or delay issues in the wireless link or could someone shed some light please?

What brand of IP cameras are you running?

What VMS are the IP cameras connected to?

What's the spec of the VMS Server?

What frame rate have you got the system recording at?

What frame size are you recording?

    Sounds like bandwidth,
try lowering that particular cameras recording settings really low, and test it.
if it works you can slowly start to lift the res and frames until it cuts out, then back it off one or two settings and it should be stable (under the assumption you are reproducing the fault with substatial traffic in the cameras image.)

Try setting one of the cameras that is succesfully recording to a higher (if you can go higher) recording rate and see if the fault follows the settings.

    see how you go

Thanks everyone for all the ideas...
    VMS is Milestone Xprotect Pro
    Cameras are AXIS
Radios are Proxim Orinco 4000 (mesh) with 2 hops to the PTZ camera.
Fixed cameras have no issues though set at highest resolution 7xx by something at 25fps
But PTZ is at 4CIF and 25fps which gives the issues.

I'll try adjusting parameters when I get to the site again.
