Default Internet cannot display the webpage

    Hi,

I am increasingly getting this message when clicking links etc .
INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE

    I run XP Pro SP2 IE7

I was on IE 6, but went to 7 hoping it would fix it.....not.

The help page says to check setting and see if SSL ans TLS are enabled, if not, to do so.

    I have..
    a tick in Use SSL3.0
    a tick in TLS 1.0
    unticked box use SSL 2.0

Should I tick this unenabled SSL 2.0 box?

Any suggestions or clues warmly welcomed

    Thanks

I use Firefox and have done for ages now viewer. I see IE8 is available in beta mode and it might be worth a look at (more likely may also require a Windows validation tool loaded and may stuff your pc up!!!! (I would do system backup before trying to install) though

    cheers

IE, like a lot of Micro$hit products is to be avoided.

You've already tried Firefox and know how good it is, it's time to convert your girlfriend to it as well.
It's really not that different in layout compared to IE - there's still a drop down for favourites ("Bookmarks") and the usual buttons to navigate pages etc.

Why flog a dead horse when you can ride a fire fox ?
