Hi Andy, i'm in Falcon. Lets start here are you getting channel 800
hey guys sorry for the delay.
As for channel 800 no i am not getting it. I am not even able to get a signal.
The dish is an ex foxtel dish with what looks like the old acer LNBF. Regardless of i have tried a couple of LNB's now and still nothing. I think my el cheepo sat finder is a little bit dicky but i also had this problem up in pannawonica.
I am actually starting to think that the box is actually the issue since i have never been able to get a signal.
The Acer is a 11300 i think but the dual output one i tried is a 10700. I have tried both LNB's and have changed the box's LNB settings to reflect.
Cheers
G'Day Cobber.
Is this the dish that you previously used in your last location and you have set it up yourself where you are now or was it there when you moved in?
Is it a VAST box (UEC) or some other model?
I hope you realise that once installed and getting the Tuning channel that you need to ring them to get your card activated.
Don't tell them your current location as you wont get the commercial channels activated in Perth.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".
The dish and LNB were already there but i tested my foxtel box on it and that worked beautifully. As for the activation i am activated as a traveller since i will be travelling the NT and QLD
Vast box is a UEC DSD4121.....
The major issue is i am not even getting a signal fullstop. All i can think of now is the box is faulty.
i can but not till tonorrow morning. I am not there atm and won't be there till tomorrow morning.

yeah mine just says,
searching for signal........
The date on mine is january 01 i think.....
My freq is different though.. 12567 i think it was...
Status: Unlocked
sym rate is the same as is the FEC.
Signal though is 0% on mine.
Maybe check if your Foxtel STB is still working OK ?
check if it is set for a 10700 LNB or 11300 LNB ?
check the signal strength you are getting on the Foxtel STB ?
& report back
cheers

here is my previous thread i started when living in Pannawonica.
I went through all of that b4 i posted this one.
I will try changing the freq to 12447 V and see if that makes a difference.
Frequency change on the box is not an option...the box auto loads as soon as the signal strength is good enough.
Sounds more to me like lnb alignment or a slight dish nudge may be an issue here ??
Have you got a friend who has Vast Working
Maybe you could test your STB on his/her Dish Set up
if the STB works it rules it out as being the problem....
make sure you set the same LNB settings as your friends Setup

It would have been better to continue the other thread, as you still have the same problem.
One thing that stands out to me is your confusion about the 'dual' LNB.
Although it's a physical dual LNB you have from your Foxten installation, what VAST call a 'dual' LNB is actually a universal LNB.... the VAST meaning of dual being for both high and low ranges of a dual LNB.
For VAST to work with a standard 'dual' Foxtel Sharp LNB, you need to select 'single' LNB, LO 10700.
10700 single is the default setting how all VAST decoders are shipped.
If there have been no physical changes to the Foxtel dish and LNB alignment, the VAST decoder should have worked simply by connecting it, to view the info channel (CH 800).
As mentioned, if your decoder does not have signal when the activation code is sent, the card will not be activated, so once you ensure you can see the info channel, confirming you have the disg and LNB settings correct... you'll need to ring VAST to have them send the activation code again.
Also as mentioned, this could also be done elsewhere with a correctly configured dish/LNB.
OSIRUS (01-03-12)
If your dish is aligned properly and your lnb is straight up and down, no turning necessary in your location, not like what's required in the eastern states you should get a signal e:g channel 800.Wait for the box to boot up.
Better still if you have or no someone with a different box this would help because getting a signal on the non PVR box can be a bit of a pain. Make sure you don't have anything in the line of site as this can be a major issue.
