Default Garmin NuVI 1450t DSE special 1/03/2012 $99

Never used Garmin myself. Is this a good deal?

    Garmin Nuvi 1450t $99 save $200
    DSE 1 hour special 7-8pm AEDT 1/03/2012

Assume you can easily install new additional and updated maps as well as speed/red light cameras as they are released, from the links found in this forum?

Might grab one myself at that price, for the other car.
We'll have to get in quick the add says only 1500 units available.

Are the speed/red light camera updates free for these units?

Also what speed cpu does this unit run at and what is the size of the internal memory?

I noticed if you run out of internal memory yu can easily buy micro sd card and install maps onto that. Is there any limitation to the maximum memory size card that can be used on these units?

Yes & no, you can buy Speed/red light camera updates or sometimes people post hem here or you can go to & select what you want and upload.

CPU speed for these units, that's a good question, have never thought about it before, I'll investigate it though. You've set the Terrier in me in motion.

Micro SDHC cards up to 16GB have been tested in this model from memory. I have a 1490T that runs the same spec & it has no probs with 8Gb, haven't had the need for any more. Do some Googleing if you want to go bigger. Sometimes the limit gets increased with firmware updates as new technology comes thru.
