Hi All,

Just want to startoff saying i know how to use *nix based systems.

Thought i'd get into the Dreambox (pretty cool unit), so i bought one the other day. Came preloaded with OS & ccam.

Ok so i updated it and toasted it (wouldn't boot). So spent ages try to load different software and have realised that it's a clone, so needed a patched version... OK so finally finding one that worked (and is latest version) i've settled for OpenPLI 2.1.

I've found a satellites.xml generator file () and have uploaded it to the /etc, so now Optus C1 shows up on the menu. This is what i'm up to so far.

Few questions:
- What are the settings on the page for the tuner setup (in Melbourne) pointed to Optus C1, I've got a 10700 LNB, i've had a go with a few different ones but scanning doesn't bring back anything.

Can someone confirm the following:
- Oscam tweaked allows keys to be inputed into it (which can be viewed off a sub card)? Are the tweak keys able to be viewed easily off a card?
- Ccam with foxcard cs has stopped working? Does this also mean someone with a moded foxcard can't cs?

I've seen two types of systems (that are currently working) and am asuming they fit in the two above.
1. Dreambox provided using card sharing (so connecting to remote box/card) via Internet.
2. Dreambox provided doesn't need any internet connection and has no card inside it, but unit must be left on for updates. I'm asuming this is oscam?

I won't say the questions are dumb, but if you have indeed seen the two units you speak about then wouldn't your questions be better served directed to the owners of those sytems rather than in an open forum such as here?

The guys that own them have no idea as they came from sellers.

It's just a general chit chat on the boxes and methods out there, that people may hear on the grape vine. Wasn't asking for handouts.

ps used to be a member on austech years ago before the crash and when i used to tinker with analogue optus (ali etc).
