Geez mate, tell us something we don't know, haven't had much of a look around here have you.
From on an Optus website :
Q: When will I need to replace my smartcard?
A: It is currently planned for existing (i.e. already activated) Version 1 smartcards to remain in operation until early 2008. We are no longer activating any new Version 1 smartcards. By mid 2008, any Version 1 smartcards which have not already been replaced by a Version 4 (or higher) smartcard will require swapout at that time. All new smartcards provided now are Version 5.
For the purpose of identification, Version 1 smartcard numbers begin with either 0 or 2. If your smartcard begins with either of these numbers, you will need to replace your smartcard with a current version by mid 2008 otherwise you will lose access to Aurora services.

As they say on Channel Ten " I don't Think So".
My wafer based on my 1.9 Aurora card is working.
Sorry about that.
It's quite obvious that he sat on it and it disappeared up his fundamental orifice. Next one changing his nappy, please retrieve and shove it where it will shut his gob.
Hmm... I guess somebody must have loaded my goldie (which I am watching now) with Irdeto2 details then. lol.
My goldies and silvers (4 working) don't have a serial no. on them so I guess I'll never know which version they are.
LOL, just read the heading as well, I'd best cut up my Irdeto1 Aurora cards then.
Cheers

I dunno how these official one's I got are still going either
not bad for a first post, post something that is totally wrong! lol
I've read over in the Loggers section there are about 30,000 Irdeto 1 cards still out there working.
If Irdeto1 is turned off next month there will be lots of angry remote area viewers.
Thats going by this..

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.
41294 EMK's being sent, 31357 have been updated since April's roll, as to how many are still being used, anybodys guess
Cheers

My previous post mentiod a discusion with Optus about the old version 1 cards, just to recap. They are no longer activating those cards and plan to do a swap out in the near future to their registered clients, which basically means if you have a version 1 card authourised to you it will be swapped out. exact time frame is not confirmed but expect it within 12 months probebly earlier then later.
So Irdeto 2 will be the baseline service . This will subsequently deactivate all the Gold/Silvers and UCAS receivers.
My old (2000 etc) white still going.
