Is the Sony PVR a terrestial stb with an inbuilt or external HDD because unless it has AV IN to allow recording from another devise, your out of luck.
You can record from a VAST stb into a VCR or anything else so long as it has AV inputs BUT with only ONE tuner, you can record ONE channel and thats the channel your watching.
Just to clarify things, can you give the model number of that Sony PVR please?
If the Sony PVR is a Terrestial PVR then I would seriously consider buying the PVR version of VASTfor the other TV you have.

You can connect the VAST box to a VCR or DVD/HDD recorder with an AV input.

If your device does not have this you can get your VAST box's software upgraded to the PVR version, then u just add a USB external hard drive to the USB port on the back of the unit.

If I have read the Sony site for this machine, it has Inputs on the Front, possibly under a drop down panel you can connect to the similar ones on the VAST.
