Using my legit sub card in another box

I've read quite a few posts on this subject. Is there any change?

I want to use my sub P@xstar in a 12v decoder whilst I am out west. I dont want to take the provider box with me.

I am using a Strong 4654x decoder.

Any help please?

You won't be able to use the Strong because it has an Irdeto Cam, where as foxtel uses NDS. My understanding is a dreambox runs on 12v and with the right cam will allow you to use your sub card.

My sub is with Aust@r, they are Irdeto2 arent they??. None the less I'm still not having any joy.
I suspect there isnt a workaround yet. A bit rude I reckon.

Sorry i misunderstood "P@xstar".
You can not use your legit austar sub in a 3rd party decoder.

You cannot use your Austar sub card in third party decoders anymore. Its a reason why I and a few others cancelled.

Gonz,

Keep your decoder for say SelecTV, Aurora, or any number of ever increasing free-to-air stations on Optus D2 etc.

If used on C1 (same sat as Foxtel), you can scan in Al Jazeera International, in english. Not bad for news etc.

Your decoder is not dead.

Thanks Keepleft, the begger is only new!!!! No problems I will use it with Aurora. Even ABC and SBS is better than nothing to listen to when Im in the swag.

I hope the guru's are busy too!

Vaguely similar, have 2 boxes thought i would use one card in a DM500s in the back shed and swap cards from box to box but it wont let me
Are there any ways of swapping cards from legit box to box?

With the right cam installed you should be able to view foxtel on your DM500s and your legit sub box.

Cmon, we need a cam!!! I dont consider that it would be wrong as I have a sub with the service provider.

Hearin ya. I guess in that light they should supply a box that would suit your needs, like 12volt etc.
Wonder how much it is for a 2nd service. I looked on their site, blowed if i could find it.
