DAS Hills Comnav

I just noticed while scanning the web that sellers listings for the Comnav say they are out of stock. Does that mean they are no longer being manufactured? Maybe they have finally stop all manufacturing for the old Hills alarm system and people have to upgrade their panels and keypads to Hills XRpro, assuming you want to stick with Hills?

Does anybody know what the situation is?

I think they are just waiting on stock / manufacturing, there is an ETA for them to be back end of July.

I believe I'm meant to Enable UltraSync app by setting the Web Access Passcode (Network Settings Menu)



As you can see there is no option. I'm going to assume my FW is out of date and require a dongle? Is there anyone / anywhere in Melbourne that has this?

Yes firmware will need updating if it is possible.

You could try contacting the local Dicker Data DAS branch, if they have a tech support person there who can do firmware update.

You can no longer buy comnav boards as the have released a new alarm panel which has app feature built in. Reliance XR series.

but my firmware version is A55P004000-16 and H/W is 20616IX15

Hi, wondering if anyone could help.

Inherited a DAS/Networx NX-16 hardwired system in the place I bought which is fine, though wanted remote app support without upgrading anything else. There was a Permaconn unit installed, didn't know anything about it, so I removed it and bought a ComNav and used the Technoworx YouTube video to install it ().

Seems to have worked OK- able to login the web portal, UltraSync+ app connects etc. Two issues-

1. Away mode sets off the keypad fire alarm. I understand this is a known issue and I need to disable the keypad fire button - just after some instructions.
2. My status flicks between Ready (green colour indicator) and 'Fail to Communicate' (blue colour indicator)
2.1 On the 'site' front page 'Loading Site Status' also doesn't load anything, just blank under the Site name I set

I'm thinking problem 2 might relate to the Permaconn unit I removed and maybe some settings I didn't clear?

The fail the communicate is from when you removed the permaconn and didn't disable the dialler function. Feature 6. set to zero

Disable Fire button- Feature 16 Segment 1 - 6 off

Is anyone able to copy the contents of the Micro SD card from inside the TouchNav? Mine (card) has died, and I dont have a backup. It would save me $300. Thanks.

I would recommend copying the contents for yourself anyway. Those micro SD cards will fail one day.
