Default Playing XBOX 1 on 360. States I need Xbox HDD ?!

    Hey everyone

    I have a Xbox 360 slim , with xk3y.

    I simply can't get original or ISO's of Xbox 1 working .
I've tried uploading the required file/s from a USB - Xbox can't recognise.

Anyway , the exact error is this. It states " to play original Xbox you need a Xbox HDD" or to that effect.

Any ideas ?! I've also tried putting a USB drive in one of the frontal ports. Same issue. Thanks !

You need to download the compatibility files and place in a specific folder on an internal hdd, they wont work on usb hdd or usb flash drive.

So I should pull the standard drive and put them manually on ?

Or why isn't the Xbox automatically updating when a Xbox 1 game is in the drive!?

If you had an internal hdd installed then an original xbox1 game will prompt you to download the files but being an iso or backup or from the xkey it wont.

Apart from the xkey what is your console setup ?

its a late model xbox slim 4gb....this counts as an internal HDD right ?!
I get the same error if on a USB via xk3y , or with an original xbox 1 game in passthru mode.

No the 4gig is Mu so your problem is that you need an internal hdd to load the backwards compatibility files on. Not sure if you can use non original hdd's in a slim or not - you need to RGH that sucker but then live is off limits unless you dual nand it.
