Cool This the right spot? - Torrent speed prob

Hi Guys, don't usually have much to do with PC probs, but thought I'd relay this story.
late last week I noticed my uTorrent downloads were right down to 35-69 Kb/s from the usual 900 -1.1 Mbs/s, rang Exetel my ISP, no probs there, rang NetGear (new modem) latest firmware OK. Sooo...
I looked at what had happened to my PC in the last week, and found a large Windows Update came down on 28/3.
Got rid of all of the updates and Bingo - All Good!!!
    Bloody Windows 7 !!

    Cheers BlindPete

    Cool

I didn't make a note of the numbers, but there was about 8 updates that came down on 28/3/2012 and they were all security updates for Net Framework 4.

Have you cheched out how many Connections per server you have in Regedit

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings

click on Internet Settings and see how many MaxConnectionsPerServer you have,

mine is 10. The update may have changed it.

Win7/64, no MaxConnectionsPerServer under the location you pointed out.

just curious has this helped peoples utorrent speeds via exetel?

i too had the same issue downloads went from 780kbs to 10-15kbs in a day on very well seeded torrents on private sites.

exetel removed thier p2p cache at the start of april and everyone blames it on utorrent speed probs.

some people have reported changing torrent clients has "fixed" the issue.

myself i pissed utorrent off , installed tixati and have been back to full speed since.

id be interested to know if uninstalling .net updates fixed peoples utorrent issues
