Default Ghost Silver - power off problem

Hi I'm self educating myself with silver cards.

Ive managed to make a working silver card, but I keep loosing the ability to descramble when the strong 4658x powers down.

I keep having to reprogram the card to get it to work again.

Im sure there is something fundamental that Im overlooking, can anyone clue me in?

Just leave the stb on and the card should update itself after a few moments.
Unlike provider boxes some third party boxes dont update while in standby mode.

Also try simply pulling the card in/out of the slot and await it's update, or reset the box with the card in it.I have to do this all the time to my official aurora card when it is in anything other than it's comfortable uec bed.

Slightly off topic, but I use the card slot in my 4658X for whitey, goldie and official Aurora card, just swapping them in and out as required but it's a bit annoying when I want to switch quickly between FTA and PAY for different live footy games on the weekend.

What's a good reliable cheap cam for the 4658 for Goldie/Aurora, so I can leave whitey in the slot? I'm assuming it's better to do it this way, rather than find a cam that can handle whitey, and leave the other cards in the slot instead, unless there's a cam that gives less heat problems with the whitey than the slot does.

as dryfry says...leave the stb on otherwise your gunna miss an emk hit sooner or later, as there ain't many details going around anymore.

The card wont update itself even if I leave it in for ages to wait for an another update.

If I make a gold 226 card (with the no updating cocos) with the same details it will work straight away when I pull it in an out and power off etc.

Im using a duolabs cas 3 & lmedit.

Is it because the country codes on the silver are able to be modified??

Osci: Unless you have a mate with a working card you can dump the details from, or you log right? The former im learning to do with the season I've just picked up.

    Thanks for the replies.

Edit: Hey OSci Im having the same problem as you did where coco 1 had changed and PKs had been written to provider 00. What was your solution if you had one?
