I've aquired an Infinity USB programmer with the original software.
I'm familiar with the use of my Elvis and can accomplish most tasks with it but I'm confused with this infinity.
Can someone give me a quick rundown on how to use it.
At best all I want to do is send a few strings or perhaps read a card.
What software works best with this unit?
thanks
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

No mate, It's the real early one USB only - albeit USB 2.0 compliant.
In fact I saw an early post by Sanity in another thread that iplies the unit is not designed for Gammas and RDC's etc - understandable, the bloddy thing was made before a gamma was thought of
It think it's just another item that will get thrown in the junk box, my Elvis and Jaycar do most things I need to do. I must admit it writes (and rewrites) golds / silvers etc very fast and easily.
Jeeze, one day I'm going to sell off this junk box. With the amount of crap that I no longer use thats in it it's probably bigger than a small skip now

Put it in VCP Mode under the tools menu...
This will allow you to run Third Party software.
Then its just a matter of getting the correct Mhz , timing setting correct for the card you are trying to program.
I found it would take ages to send strings compared to the normal Jaycar.
But I needed to learn more about the programer to be honest.
