    Default Fisher &Paykel frontloader wash.mach.

    Hello,everybody.
Dues anybody know about the Fisher& Paykel wash.machine? Mine seems to be playing up.(about 18 mths old,7 kg)
It will work ok untill it comes to spin, when the pump goes of and on and off, so I finish with soaking wet clothes because it didn't pump out the last water.
Any help would be be greatly appreciated,so I can go back to sat tv.

Chances are it's not made by F & P. From what I have seen lately, they are taking OEM appliances and rebadging them with the F & P logo.
Worst thing they have ever done. The new dishwashers look like something made in China. They probably are.

It runs through the full cycle, but during the last spin, ,it pumps, then the pump stops and it spins, then after about 2 mins it pumps again, while spinning, then pump stops, still spinning, rhen finishes rhe cycle..I then put it on extra rinse, and it works ok, spin and pump.

We got our F&P Top loader repaired about 3 weeks ago. It kinda had the same symptoms but it would flash on one of the lights, and wouldn't finish the spin cycle. We called the tech in and he did a diagnostic test on the unit and said it was the balance detector. It carried one in with him, he removed the control panel 2 screws and ripped out this thing that looks like a stick connected to a micro switch. Turns out that with all the spin cycles and moisture the 15 cent micro switch burns out. When he showed me, I was so pissed off I could have gone to any DSE, or Radio parts bought this part and chucked it for less than a buck. Instead it cost me $150 all up. The Tech said it was very common on the top loaders.

Don't know if that helps you much?

My fisher and paykel top loader used to do something similar.
Turned out to be crap stuck on the impeller of the pump. My machine had an inspection hatch in front of it and it was fiddly but you could remove the pump pretty easily through the hatch.
    1. Unplug electrics into pump....after you turn off the machines power lol
    2. It had a locking collar that needed a couple of tabs held out while you twist it about 60 degrees anti-clockwise...have lots of towels handy cause some water will come out
    3. Pull out pump and impeller will be visible...make sure it spins easily.

This is also how you install a new pump if it's stuffed
    Lots of luck!
