Default A problem with McAfee firewall

    Hi !
I have Dell running Windows 7 and it has preinstalled McAfee antivirus. Yesterday it received a strange table from McAfee that my PC is under risk. As it turned out the firewall was off. I tried to turn it on but it was off again in half a second.

I run a full scan and found a few cookies and 3 Trojans. The program removed them and I run another scan just in case but this time everything was clear.

I restarted PC and the firewall was on. But in 10-15 minutes McAfee gave me the same table that firewall was off again. I sent this question to McAfee technical department but I dare they would ever answer.

Does anyone know how to solve this annoying problem because my PC is indeed under risk ? Thanks !

Well the first thing i ever do to any computer system i own is to uninstall anything Macafee, nortons or any other 3rd party stuff like that.

I make sure the firewall that comes with windows is active, install Microsoft Secruity Essentials. Install Spybot, Malwarebytes and Ccleaner. Regularily scan usingnall these tools and NEVER have an issue.

However, the choice is yours to make.

I can only suggest that you google for issues like yours and read the results to see if there is a similar trend forming and actnon the solutions suggested.

    Best of luck.
