    Default DM800 USB Card Reader

    Hi All

Due to recent changes in Sydney cable my DM800 that was working off a server no longer works.

I am still quite new to all of this and was wondering if anyone has had any experience using a USB card reader with a DM800 and a legit fox card ?

A mate has a multi room sub they are going to cancel that is on sat but before they do want to know if I could put it to good use.

Can I use a USB card reader and do anything with my DM800 on cable to use his multi room sat card ?

No. Foxtel did a change recently to stop their cards working in 3rd party receivers. We all hope for a fix soon!
What you could do though is get a sat tuner for your DM800 and point a dish to Optus C1 and I'm sure you'll get pics if your server connection is still working.

    Hi Leroy

    Thanks for the reply.

My DM800 is a cable box , do you know if the tuners can be swapped in these ?

    I don't see why not. Maybe a DM800 guru can 100% confirm?

    Hi Leroy,

I understand the changes which have happened stopping 3rd party boxes. I have a sat DM800 but dont understand what you mean by pointing the sat to C1 and getting pics. FTA you mean?

    Thanks
