    Default ghostgold, fmcard, icprog on win7, am I wasting my time?

    before I try and run these programs on win7, has anyone had success or am I just wasting my time and need to go back to xp? cheers

    I've only ever used XP and all worked. Tried and proven.

    thanks I tried icprog and crashes all over the place on win7, even running as admin. I also had no probs on xp. Looks like im going to have to install xp again, dualboot for things like this.

    did you try running in compatability mode? and have you installed all required OCX dll's?

    If you do have troubles try the comparability mode with admin rights, you can't go wrong
    When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

    I run all these programs no problems in win7 32bit. You'll need tp ensure you have all the OCX files. ICPROG will need to run with the 2000/NT driver checked
    cardwriter is easier to use and run. It can from time to time fall over but its fairly reliable.

    yes it runs on win7 32bit but its harder to get ocx files to run on 64-bit PC....stick with 32-bit and you will be OK
