    Default VAST Transponder changes

Received this VAST transponder realignment announcement the other day.

On the 29th May 2012, Optus is planning to make changes to the Aurora Digital Satellite Platform that will impact the Viewer Access Satellite Television (VAST) services.

Optus is planning to carry out service rearrangements on the Optus C1 satellite, transponder 9 and transponder 4. This will result in services being swapped between these transponders.

The service rearrangement is currently planned to commence at 02:00 am EDT. The following services (SBS and ABC digital services) will be moving from C1 Transponder 4 (12,447MHz) to C1 Transponder 9 (12,647MHz)

I thought Optus Aurora used transponders 3, 6 and 10?

According to Lyngsat, transponders 9 & 4 only carry VAST, so I wonder what the changes have to do with Aurora?

Maybe moving Aurora to 9 & 4 as well?

    Wait & see I guess.

It would appear Optus call the C1 satellite Aurora and VAST is just a service on it, at least until the (assumed) full move of VAST services to D3.
