I forgot to mention that as I have a pension card and I am an 'aboriginal" I will be getting seen to staright away
Have you been putting it off either for financial reasons or just because dentists scare you ?
I last went about 4 years ago and now have 2 whopping big holes in my top teeth. I have been putting up with the pain because I am already on pain killers due to a back injury, but they are now at the point where they are agonising even with morphine Fun...not !
I'd say I will lose both teeth, might tell them to pull them all out and get dentures

I have to go next week to get 3 taken out.. Been putting it off for years, I would rather have a finger broken off than have a needle... last time i went was about 20 years ago and I also suffer from dry sockets, so the gums take ages to heal... My daughter tells me the needles don't hurt any more now as they rub something on the gums first, she better be right..
PS.. I don't think being an abbo will ease the pain...LOL

i have had issues with my teeth all my life. currently have 2 that broke in an accident and have been like that for 12 months
WHY
Because they dont hurt at the moment and i have a paralysing fear of needles and dentists
in the past when i have had to go its only because i have been in so much pain that only morphine would help.i would sit in the chair person holding each arm down and then near faint.
dont say linux if i wanted it id install it

wow, i was there yesterday and made an appointment.
i have to go see them next tuesday.
the last time i saw a dentist was at infantry centre ingleburn in the mid 60s where he pulled a tooth and i got a dry socket, never been to a dentist since because im shit scared of them,
had a few teeth capped a couple of weeks ago, no big deal, only hurts for a second when they stick a needle in, numb a few minutes after that
I am on a Disability Support Pension, I phoned for an appointment and was told I would be on the waiting list for 2-3 years. I live in the Latrobe Valley in Victoria.

Well, this is a bit rich, since when do refugees & asylum seekers get priority over Australians?
The following groups have priority access to care:
•Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
•Children and young people
•Homeless people and people at risk of homelessness
•Pregnant women
•Refugees and asylum seekers•
Registered clients of mental health and disability services, supported by a letter of recommendation from their case manager or staff of special developmental schools

I personally have never liked going to the dentist, childhood nightmares about my early visits.
However, I owned a Dental lab for 20 years, designed & constructed dentures for some hard to fit mouths.
If you can afford to save the damaged teeth do so, if not just lose them.
Every anchor point in the mouth will become valuable to you & the technician that makes your dentures later on in life if you need them.
I recommend you don't have the lot pulled out, full dentures are not as much fun as you might think.
I still go to the dentist & have teeth repaired as needed, its only painful to the wallet.
Cheers, Tiny

I only go when a filling or a chunk of tooth falls out...about every 6 months or so LOL.
Last visit was 1 month ago to replace a chunk that fell out. My mouth now contains more fillings than enamel but at least I still have most of them
I just rang my dentist and they asked what time suited me.
I said tooth hurty.

I freaking hate dentists. I'd rather have a colonoscopy.
Anyway I'm something like 5th gen Australian. Does that make me an aborigine yet?
I last went about 10 years ago!! i hate the dentist i hate the needles, drills and the smell of the clinic's. Every time i have booked an appointment and gone i get butterflies when i step inside and 2 mins later i run off!!lol ps i havnt seen the dentist in 10 years but been in his clinic 6 times since and ran out every single time.lol id rather have a chainsaw hacking at my leg then his tools and needles and drills probing my teeth!!lol my Mrs calls me a whoos but i dont care!!
I have full dentures so if I need work done I just drop off my face and pick it up later, no tooth hurty for me.
I have diabetes and because of this I got my new dentures only 6 months ago for no cost and within a week of making an appointment.
My doctor set me up a management plan which entitled me to free dentures, free physio, free podiatrist etc.
check with your doc, you never know
