    Default Garmin Nuvi 260W Full

    Hi,
I have a Nuvi 260W, with only about 11Mb of space left on the device, as a result of updating the built-in map (US - bought it there) and the latest Basemap (v5.01).

I notice folders with help files in various languages. Is it safe to remove thos that I don't need? Similar for the various language voices?

    Thanks.

OK, did that, and all is good! Now I have more space on the device.

why not move the biggest map to an SD card, up to 4GB will work
    just name the map GMAPSUPP.IMG
if you have a smaller map you can leave it on the device
I have a 3.6GB map with CN, Oztopo and Bluechart PAC all merged into one on the SD card, works very well
If you can't run with the DOGS, Stay on the Porch
