    Hey Marty

Speak to SAX0607 on Vetrun. He manages to get it from South East Melbourne. Check The PAS10 Thread on Vetrun.

    Cheers

    Hi

I believe you can get C band on a 1.8m but most would say you need a 2.3m dish.

depends on how close to the coast you are too, the footprint doesn't really extend all the way.

    marty 17,

I guess we are talking about IS10

Basically no way in Eastern States. Barely over the horizon @ 68.5 degrees east.

Unless you have flat terrain to your west, a big dish, 3.0M at least, plus the dish will be nearly straight up and down to put it simply. A lot of terrestrial noise will affect reception,

    Cheers

OK in the Eastern states exactly where are you?

My sister lives in Canberra but I stream DSTV and Thai Truevisions to her.

Not in Sydney as it's over the horizon.

Streaming not for the feint hearted costs of bt and although I have no bandwidth caps my sister does.

In the old archives here was the tale of someone who managed to pick it up from Melbourne where it is about 3 or 4 degrees above the horizon. Lucky bastard (although Melbourne is very flat to the west, so if you are on a bit of a hill or a tall building, i can see how it might be doable). But it is below the horizon any further east than that.

From memory, i know people who have had trouble getting it in Adelaide due to the low angle.

    Hi guys
I get Pas10 in Melbourne. I have clear sight West with nothing in the way. I have a 2.3M dish. I get a good lock on some tranponders such as 3744H, the multichoice package, 4087H, and few more mostly on the Horizantal once. On a clear day i can get most of the Vertical signals.

I guess with 3M i should get a good lock on all the channels.

Yep... if you have the space for a 3m I would go for it.

But DSTV Multichoice are all Vertical beams not horizontal.... unless you have your LNB arse about face
