can we recieve asiasat 5 dishtv on a 2.3 in sydney ?

No. There are a few reasons. Your dish is a C-band dish and Dish TV is on the Ku band. You could however use your C band dish for Ku reception if you had a dual C/Ku LNB. Buti f you look on Satbeams.com at the foot print and the south Asia beam that Dish TV uses is limited to India only and doesn't cover our great continent.
