Installing external Hdd to Ps3
Ok have my ps3 now with multiman + Gaiga
With loading games onto the external Hdd, must be Fat32 correct ??? + folder PS3- subfolders , savegame, music etc ???
Do you completely reformat using fat32 only
Will loading the games onto Hdd mostly all work from Ext only ??
Will large games larger than 4gig load to ps3 or need to be loaded to internal?
If their is a easier way of running most games from Hdd what do i need to do??
Thanks in advance

Hi Johno
The PS3 will only read an external drive that is formatted to fat32.
The games must be put into a directory called GAMES on the root of your drive.
There is a tool that will split the larger 4gig files and when you copy these via
multiman to your internal drive multiman will rejoin them or alternatively you can
just ftp to your ps3 and copy across this way. Alot of larger games will run
alot more happy on the ps3s internal drive than an external. Here is a
website that will give you a compatability chart on what
games work and what dont.
Here is the link to split large files
