    Default Max Payne 3

My friend's son wants to play Max Payne 3 on a LT 2.0 console. It is asking for a dash board update. My friend wants to know if he updates from 13499 to 14719, would he still be able to play XGD 2/3 games??

Best (and safest) advice I can give is to flash the 360 to stock firmware first, then wait for the dashboard update 2.0.15572.0 which is currently rolling out.

. If things are then deemed ok, flashing to the very latest LT3.0 cfw is advised.

As for what else can be done... If you use XBL then my advise above is the only advice you and your friend should take imo.
    Main PC: INTEL CORE i7 4930k | ASUS P9X79-PRO | 16GB G-SKILL 2400MHz RAM | GTX 780 3GB PHANTOM GLH EDITION | SAMSUNG 840 PRO 256GB | 2 X 1TB WD RE4 | 2TB WD GREEN | SILVERSTONE STRIDER 1200W GOLD | HAF-X w/ DEMCI FLEX FILTERS | SWIFTECH H320 AIO | WINDOWS 8.1 PRO w/ MEDIA CENTRE x64.

Be careful - The latest MS dash has extra security checks for XGD3 disks.

All XGD3 games will need to be patched with abgx360 and recommended to be burnt 100% on disk with a LiteOn iHAS burner flashed with Max Burner custom firmware.

I had to upgrade my dash to play a new game (also upgraded from LT+2.0 up to L+3.0 at same time), then my 'old' XGD3 games didn't work...I had to abgx360 patch them and re burn them.
The new game did work with a 97% burn, but does come up with occasional read errors during the game. I am going to reburn all my XGD3 disk with the iHAS 100% burn.

    Here's some info
