    Default BF430 and GWM

    Hi there,

I have a 5410z with a season connected to a BF430 which I gave an IP and port no. I have added a BFxxx client with the Host Name (IP addr) and port no. It appears in GWM as connected but in the 'CAM key/IP Addr' field it says Reset stb. I have tried powering on and off the box and reiserting the season. This had been working somewhere else.
    Any ideas would be appreciated!!

If it is a card type season try pushing it further in to the card slot.
or in the case of a internal season re check your connections.
it sounds like its not making contact Correctly.

It's a slot type. Thought I'd try this before mounting the internal. Card slot works as I tried with a goldie so the switch works also. The red lead comes on as there is a red and green led. Don't know what else to tell you.

if its an internal type i bet you dont have a dummy card in the card reader
    this is a must.

if its a standard season put a bit of tape on the back so its a tight fit, it could be that its not keeping the reset pressed in.

Using a std season at the moment. Card pushed right in. If you pull it out a little the red led goes off.

Like Fandtm666 the BF must be set to "real com" mode in the Operation Mode
and not TCP. If you dont have real com mode you will need to flash the unit with new firmware.

by the sound of it there is no communication from the humax , have a look at the units status to see what communication there is.

log in and then select status also make sure you have set the port forward in you router for the unit

It comes up as 'connected' in GWM. The port is setup and the unit is on a local subnet.

1: double check the the bf unit is not using the same port as gw

2: once gw is started just check that it has started the client , eg : right click and start i have found some times it actually does not and shows connected from a previous attempt which was recorded.

3: double check your serial cable.

    4: double check the season

5; try the season connected via serial connection in gw and see if it fires up

6: humor me and forward the port even though its on a local lan, this has been an issue i have found in the past while doing various test with these units.

7: also double check that gw was setup correctly here is a quick guide i made up for it a while back it in powerpoint format

8: also with a few units i have tested the 5410z wont give pictures if it has not been d-zeded

1/ When you say not using the same port, the BF is on 50000 and the client in GWM is 50000. This is not the same as others.

2/I had to right click start to initially get it started.

    3/&4/checked season and cable

5/I would of tried connecting the season directly but I only have one comm port on my laptop. I left the driver disk at work for my USB/serial converter

    6/ N/A as no router

7/ Don't tell me this that it may need to be dezederated!

GWM says status is connected and CAMKEY/IP Addr is Reset stb and when I remove season from slot it changes to not connected

I just restarted GWM and its status is Running but CAMKEY/IP Addr is not connected..

I can't read either of those attachments, i.e. Conan's or 666's. I've renamed them , removing the x put on the end. I've assumed that Conan's is a word doc and 666's a powerpoint ? Anyone else had the same ?

Not good news with the Hummie maybe needing to be dezedded though
