I have a
DVE Switching Adapter
ModelSA-12W-05 FAU 05406
Input 100-240VAC 50/60 hz 0.3A

next time try altronics
buy a usb hub...ditch the hub and keep the plug pack
5.4V is an unusual value.
I'd say a 5V one would work just as good. 0.4 of a volt is neither here nor there in the great scheme of things.
thanks guys
thats what i thought, i half expected the jaycar sales reps to be like yeh, give 5volts go... since they didnt say it i thoguht it wouldnt work.
shoulda asked here first
but yeh, was on the phone with netcomm and they are sending me out one
thanks for all the input
cheers
Dunno what the staff are like at Jaycar in Oz, but here they are really only one step up from the staff that work at DS.
Usually just kids straight out of school who have little or no understanding of electronics and simply took the job coz it's all they could get.
No offence intended for anyone that works there - just that they're not technically minded in the most - otherwise if they were, they'd be working for a telecommunications company rather than selling electronic parts.
