Default Foxtel on Samsung Smart TV

Just looking through the new apps available for my Samsung Smart TV and there is now a Foxtel App.

    $19.95/month for basic package.

Unmetered on Bigpond, which is very helpful as they state for the Highest quality video stream it is 1300MB/Hr. Pity Im with Optu$. My kids would chew my 300GB/Mth cap in a week!

The have Sky News freely available at the moment, quality is reasonable and I didnt notice stop start you can experience with streamed video at times.

I do have a 12000 bps link so I suppose that helps. I might have a look at a more congested time, like after tea in the evening and see if it suffers at all.

Its sad but these things could make me to the dark side and go with tel$tra for the benefits of unmetered streaming.

Hopefully Optu$ extract the digit and produce a Fetch TV app for the samsung in the future. I keep looking but havent yet seen one.

It would be the same packages they offer on Xbox and T Box at a guess. Still a major rip off in my opinion. Full package is still $100 and its not the same full package listing as satellite.

If you bundle products with Telstra, you can get the full package with an IQ for $100 a month. I really cant see why they cant offer these services at a better price over the internet. It looks pretty average compared to Netflix for $8 a month.

    Heres the channel list

What do you get with netflix? I suppose you use a proxy to get around things? And no i havent read much of the "netflix in aus" thread.

I have some latest information about the Foxtel on Samsung Smart TV.
Samsung confirmed Tuesday evening that Foxtel will be available for all Smart TV owners come July.
Access to the pay TV service will appear as an app on Samsung Smart TV systems (including TVs and Blu-ray players), giving customers a choice of four Foxtel packages: a startup package; one described as “entertainment”.

Mine was working ie I could run my 3 apps I had installed but I received an interference error, I did a reset, and now can't access it at all.

I'm hoping congestion on the samsung network is the problem.

Yes I've had problems with network interference error on all my Samsung devices this evening but it's come good again. Happens often with samsung.

Yes, after changing adapter on tv, changing my internet connection, it finally came good, but no foxtel app. MY TV is 2010, is it too old?

They might bring it out on Samsung new Bluray players eventually cheaper than a new TV
so just wait or get an xbox 360.
