Yeah Bazzle spotted and passed this on in
on the 30/6/2012
Definitely a nice update, with more intersection Signposts and POI's.

iGo are actively having all links to their products removed from file sharing sites at the moment.

YES Definitely! - keep up the good work.
Just used 19.2 to go from the 'gong to Adelaide, up the centre (Coober Pedy, Ularu, Alice, Tennant Creek then over to Mt Isa, Winton, Emerald, Lightning Ridge, Dubbo to Home and it worked perfectly - except 40 Kms out of Ularu (both ways) the Kms left to go kept going up and down, anywhere from 8 to 80 Kms wrong!!?? Weird

I couldnt agree more. You cant even buy their product if you want to.
We dont host our files, Mediafire does. If they receive a legit complaint from the content owner demanding the file be taken down they will do it. WE have had 3 files taken down in the last 7 days. iGo appear to be doing a trawl of GPS forums and collecting the file links and then making complaints to the file hosting companies. Will that include this site?

Just found Igo's contact address
and have sent this to them:-
Why doesn't your company sell iGo8 software to the private sector via online purchasing sites? It is a wonderful GPS system, that is being "Pirated" everywhere because you WON"T sell it privately!
We travel a lot around Australia, and it upsets me that I would have to do something illegal to update my current version of iGO8.3.5 on my GPS, simply because I can't purchase it!!. (My previous GPS was a Mio that had annual updates for purchase online, until they stopped sales in Australia.)
Surely a chance to purchase it with a licencing/owner code would see an increase in your profits, rather than substantial loss to word of mouth pirating sites!? I for one would happily pay for updates and new software versions.
I eagerly await your reply
Thanks

So why don't you all send something like I sent, to bombard them with requests for private release
Watch how you word it, 'cos you don't want to admit you have a pirated copy!
BlindPete
So to get the new version, you have to buy a new GPS?
Legally, yes. NavnGo's business model is to only sell the software to OEM's who are given a choice of versions and options that they can have at varying prices, They (the OEM's) have no control whatsoever over the install as an image is supplied by NNG which is then loaded by the OEM. This business model or something similar is now almost universally followed by all the GPS software manufacturers, as stand alone software packages for WinCE devices are now virtually non-existent.
Cheers, Ian

Assuming that Australia R19 2012Q2 might have the new tunnels up here in Brisbane...
Can some on confirm ?
If not I guess I can wait for a while...
If it does, I would love a working link :-)
