    Most tablets are, as long as you have the apps for it. Even Apple managed to slip that feature into the iPad with the Office app.

    What level of .doc, .xls and .pdf are you looking at though? Is it purely for viewing or are you hoping to edit and maintain 1:1 formatting? If it's the former, most will do, the later? Good luck with anything short of an actual tablet PC.

    .doc mainly view
    xls edit and view
    pdf view mainly for manuals

    According to some reports (e.g. ) MS Office for Android is due for release on November 10 of this year. (Note also the comments, which support some of the advice given by other members, who have responded to your request).

    There are a number of Android-based programs for viewing pdf files in addition to the Android version of Adobe Reader X. A quick Google will provide more info.

    My Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Polaris Office factory installed on it which does office and pdf's.

    Not sure what you are asking ?? I use gmail generally via the gmail app on my tablet. If you are asking can you send documents, yes, its the same as attaching a file to an email as normal.
