Default Test the best DNS server for you

For ages I've been using Googles Public DNS servers in my router until recently when I came across this app.

Download and run the app and it will benchmark public and private dns servers in your location and find the fastest responses.

In my case I am with Exetel, however it found TPG Sydney to be 33% faster than the Google Public DNS settings that I was using.

Figures are one thing, but I can honestly say after changing the dns server my internet pages are loading much faster than ever before.

Worth a try if you want to see if you can boost your browsing speed.

Thanks mate ... checked mine and we are with TPG (which also comes up as the best server).

The best was only 5% better than what I'm using so can't be bothered changing... If it ain't broke don't f#%k with it!

Still, to echo bluehilux's comment, a great little app all the same!

Nice little app but I'm trying it on my mac and it isn't doing anything.
Did first part then it came up Waiting for wildcard cache queries from 22 servers and after 15 minutes its still trying?
