Hooray!! Got the sat dish pointed and working yesterday. If it wasn't for this forum and specifically JK200SX I couldn't have done it. Many many thanks to everyone else for your contribution. No doubt the suggestions are helping everbody.
Let's make sure your space receiver is set correctly
Please tell us:
1. your lnb settings
2. the TP frequency you have set
AZIMUTH = 42 deg
All the azimuth settings here are wrt true north. Your compass reads magnetic north. For Adelaide you need to subtract 7.5 degrees from the magnetic reading (due to magnetic variation). So point the dish at 34.5 deg using the compass.
ELEVATION = 40 deg
There should be a rough elevation guide stamped on the elevation adjustment on the dish.
LNB SKEW
Look at the skew on your fox lnb. For a starting position, adjust the the lnb on the selectv dish 10 minutes anti-clockwise looking into the dish.
As a reference, your Fox dish is:
AZIMUTH = 28.5 (or 21 deg on the compass)
ELEVATION = 45.4
Therefore your Selectv dish will be 13.5 deg to the right (from behind) and 5.4 deg lower than the fox dish.
But tell us the stb settings first.
