In theory if you change to another isp and stay on the Telstra network then you can count out any potential hardware, or infrastructure issues as nothing changes.

Regarding your pm, if it's as critical as you say then I'd be inclined to stay with what you know. I wouldn't want to be responsible as a referrer if something happened.
I do need to reset telstra cable Modem from time to time as well but this type of interruptions we can handle as one of my family member has a sever case of autism and is hooked (Obsession) onto Yutube and other online kids videos etc sites. But more than that then & all hell break loose!

PM me your landline number and your address and I'll see what options are available at your address.

If Optus is available at your exchange you can look at the AOPF4 plan which is 600GB or the Telstra AT20-4 500GB plan. You can see them both in the original post.

Default Great deals and service from warbo.

I have 3 happy friends who have signed up to exetel thru warbo .
    2 Churns

1 New service to a guy that had been refused Adsl numerous times by BigPong and yet warbo got him connected to exetel on one of his good plans.

A quick note from me that I am also churned over to Exetel from Bigpuddle.

Performance on Bigpuddle was always very good, and Exetel seems to be just as good so far. (Though nearly half the price for my usage)

Not a single complain about the performance so far from me.

My Dad also got hooked up through Warbo to Exetel, however no detailed reports from him other than it is working fine.

All in all 1st class service from Warbo and I can recommend him to anyone with any doubts.

To Be honest, this sounds too good to be true.

Forgive my ignorance, but how are you getting these prices?

Can anyone else give any advice/recommendations on how "above board" (i guess this is what i am concerned about???) this is?

I am currently on a month to month plan with club telco, paying $70 a month for ADSL 2+ with 10gig allowance and line rental, calls not included.

At the end of the day i would be looking primarily for a faster speed (latency really, not download speed). I know this is largely based on my distance to the exchange, but can someone like telstra offer a better ping?

Check on whirlpool.net and you can compare prices.

That's a lot of money. There are many different isp's that can do a much better deal than that.

Yep, ping time is mostly related to other factors and not the isp.

Warbo is a registered exetel dealer. As such, he is given premium dealer prices.

Its all above board, one of my friends is on it. I would be signing up quick smart at those prices

Ratty, if you are able to get Optus ADSL2+ on your line then you can get no contract plans. Let me know your number if you want me to check.

Gday Warbo, Just letting you and everyone know the churn went through faultlessly. Even got a little speedboost ie
    Old Iprimus : 4600
    New Exetel: 4850
and after I tweak my Netgear n600 am now connected at 6383Kbps Not bad considering I'm nearly 4 K's from the exchange.
I'll no doubt get some mates to jump on board as well...
    Thanks again,

I'm also on Exetel about 4km from the exchange. The best speed I can get is 3160. I'd be interested to know what you tweaked on your router to improve your internet speed so much?

Mate just google telnet Netgear n600. Heaps of guides out there. All I did was drop the SNR from 12 to around 6. You"ll obviously have to find the right number that works for you..

    Thanks again,

Its ironic to think of all the times I complained I was on a rim. Now that a top hat has been installed on the rim cabinet I sync at 19000 3.5 - 4.0 kms from the exchange. I never thought being on a rim would be of any benefit.

Well done on your jump with a bit of configuring, thats pretty good going. I have found that even different brand line filters can make a difference.

A mate signed up through Warbo and lives down the road on the same rim and his modem syncs at 21000. "W" says thanks Warbo, he is very happy.

    Awesome feedback thanks.

Am camping with my boys at Urunga while the wife is working, so I'm sorry if I'm not so responsive to pm's/emails just atm. I keep meaning to reply when the kids crash out but the beer and relaxation has been well and truly taking over
