You just create any hotmail account tell them your in the USA
setup unblock-us and the correct DNS in your Xbox or Router.
Create a new xbox account using your new hotmail.
Don't sign up for Gold Live and they'll offer you Gold for free month.
Add Netflix app sign in to your Netflix account.
Logout and Login to your aussie Xbox live account run Netflix
when your american live gold account expires you can still watch netflix
in aussie account just don't remove the Netflix app it will update as needed.
don't remove you american account from Xbox.

You can still play games with your aussie mates as you used to with this setup.
You can also still use the foxtel app.
