    Default Why doesn't Australia have its own EO Satellite?

    How vulnerable is Australia in depending on other nation's EO satellites for critical information like geographical hazards, mapping out resources in the country etc?

    We used to have our own satelites, ausat!

    But govnments of the day though it better to sell off, like everything else.

    we used to build satellites down at DSTO Salisbury but the the government decided to stop making them.
