    Default Battery only R128

I finally got around to testing the R128 panel to run on battery only. I setup the feature 22# seg 6 - 5 on and the panel fired up on my bench 13.8 vdc no problems but when my tech went to install onsite and using the battery only (12.9 vdc) it wouldn't start. I've connected the DC to the AC inputs. Anyone else setup a battery only R128 and had the same problem?

    Cool

If you're feeding the battery into the AC I/p then you are probably losing
1.2V (2 x 0.6V) from the two bridge rectifier diodes & then the voltage regulator probably requires at least a 2V overhead. So probably trying to operate on about 9V

The initial attempt was to connect the battery to the battery leads but that didn't work so I tried the ac in and used my bench powersupply. Should the battery be connected elsewhere to make it work?

    Cool

    What is feature #22 seg 5&6 ?
There are panels that won't fire up without a battery connected & some that need the battery connected BEFORE the mains.

It's 22# seg 6 number 5 on - which is enable DC only operation a new feature.

Have it up & running OK - I needed to connect the battery to the battery leads and a link from Battery neg to panel common forces the panel to start on battery only.
