Warbo has posted several replies to inserting C and F lines in a direct connected DM500s x2 (with cross over cable) eg Client, F:home home and Friend, C:192.168.1.2 12000 home home yes (ip the client?) i note that Ir is mentioned does this apply to nds? and how do i go back into the DM500 to determine what i have entered, am assuming the Friend box does not require a dish connection
Have another tut but it involves hops etc and is a lot more complex
    regards in advance

Both boxes need a connection to a dish. You can check out the configuration using an FTP client. The location of the config files are \var\etc\cccam.cfg
