Does anyone have any experience with this 60" Plasma TV?

All the reviews that I've read on the net about it say its a really good TV... I went into Good Guys today and they said they don't have them any more as they are discontinued. Apparently they have a new version in stock now (wasn't on display) but the price is around $6000, I saw the model above in a Good Guys store a couple of weeks ago for $3499.
So what I'm wondering is, whether its worth hunting around to try and get one of the cheaper ones..... or wait for this new model to come down in price... who knows when that will be.
I don't know what new features the new model has.

One other thing.. does this model have a swivel base? I haven't been able to find this out anywhere.
I haven't been able to find many Aussie reviews of this TV.. most are from people overseas.
