Thanks covert, just forgot how to do it. Last time it was with tt6 more than a year ago.

    Another question is:
Did anyone joined the map share community and is it working in Aus (working means resonably active)?

Just installed the black qvga version and when I run it I get the following error.

Unable to start - Not enough memory is available

Apparently the same error message has been appearing on other devices besides PNA ones.
By reading this, you have already given me control over a tiny slice of your mind

    Hi covert,

I had the same problem when i initially installed the software upgrade.
The first thing to check is that you dont have any unnecessary applications running, (i had 2 that i stopped).
If you have any programs that you dont use then remove them, expecially if they reside in memory. (i had one i removed)
By doing this it got my unit up and running, im not saying this is going to fix your problem but it got me going.

    before i forget i used repack 2

You need to select NMEA GPS not the built-in one.

You need to copy a desired bmp file 80x80 or 24x24 size to "\art\cars" directory. Just create the folder in your tomtom storage home. If it's sd card then "sd:\art\cars" and copy the picture there. Works a treat.
You can create your own picture of the small size or download ready made from internet. There are heaps available there.
P.S. Almost forgot, once he file is in the folder, start Tomtom in "Change Preferences" find the option to change the car symbol.

    ???
It works for me and works much faster then the previous version 6.03 I had.
Also noticed the signal strength and number of satellites seems to be greater than before.

edit. Program memory - 29.28Mb free, Storage memory (main) 22.45Mb free.

    Latest Aus Map 720.1838:

If you need transfer maps to your new device use the keygen on the pc, run it against the map folder (v7 maps) and give it your device id (no space, uppercase), then copy the map folder to your device.
You run this in a command prompt, like this: tt7_keygen "map_folder" "device id"
For v6 maps activation codes use: tt6_keygen "path to .mid file" (then enter your device id when prompted)
To get your device id, run tomtom and exit. Look on your storage card for ttnavigator.bif, it will have your device id in it (DeviceUniqueID=<10chars>).
Ok.. I am a little slow as am down with teh flu big time..

Have a MIO P350 and wish to give V7 a go.

1: Got the app down. Has 3 cab files.. I guess the standard VGA cab is the one to use ?

2: Downloaded the map twice and get CRC corruptions with "faces.dat".. :-( Any one else have another copy of "faces.dat" that I can get access to ?

Then I need some simple but complete instructions :-)

    QVGA is 320x200
    VGA is 640x400

Install the one that is compatible with the screen on your device. Otherwise all the fonts will be either too small or too big.

And oh yeah the faces.dat file is corrupt. Ive tried two sources and both are duds. Can someone please upload a good one?
