    Exclamation Programming Networx Nx 4

    Hi everyone.
I need your help to solve a home security issue.
Does anybody know how to programme my Networx Nx 4 alarm in order to call my mobile or my common phone and not a security company? Actually, I have no money to spend for security services.
    Any answer will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

The manuals are on the web. I have a brand new one sitting in the cupboard. PIG of a thing to program.
What happens if I press alt + F4?

NX has an option for domestic dialing, this will make the alarm call your mobile.
It is NOT a recommended option, best advise is to have a tech do this for you so certain reporting codes as disabled, otherwise you get hammered with un necessary calls.

Techs want to connect me with a security centre, but I don't want to pay the annual subscriptions. Please help me to program the alarm correctly.
    Thanks

    G'Day Tora,

If you were willing to pay a callout for a technician attendance, you'd be home free with your problem.

You have many, many things that can go wrong if you did get your hands on the manual and inadvertantly buggered it up.

Monitoring is not an expensive exercise. You would be better off shopping around although this is not your preferred method. As what was said previously, report codes need to be disabled to get rid of unnessecary calls. I'm sure you don't want your alarm ringing you at 3am trying to send a test signal. Hah.

Are you for real??? They would have to be one of the simplest for programming and for ease of operation for the end user. They rarely shit themselves and if they do it is straight out the box when you can replace it with the spare that all good techs carry in their vans.

TORAFORD do you have the program code and manual? If not your best bet will be to get a QUALIFIED tech in to program it for you, should take no longer than 10 mins to program and test.

Well well someone finally got things right, rubbishing panels you know nothing about or you are illiterate to use are usually better then the ones you use. The NX panel is just as discribed one of the easiest panels to use for the people we install alarm systems for THE END USER

If you cannot understand the manual, you should really get a tech to do it. There a lot of options that are related to each other and if these are not programmed right lots of things have the potential to go wrong, including the integrity of your system to do what it is set up for.

Ring a different company then, while monitored is better in some ways most good installers are happy to set it up local dial. Should only cost you an 1hr service call.

I agree, as easy as a ness d8...

More reliable and better built, more options and an electronic fuse..

Cant go wrong with an NX product.

    Happy weekend people!

Is this the option you're referring to?

    Feature 6, Segment 1, Data = 3?
DOMESTIC DIALLING VIA A SIREN TONE FORMAT. CALL CAN BE KISSED OFF VIA THE STAR (*) KEY ON A DTMF PHONE. PHONE NUMBERS CAN BE PROGRAMMED VIA CODE PAD IN THE RUN MODE.
What else do you need to do to stop the reports?

Do you turn everything off in Feature 9 except for Alarms? Do you have to turn anything off/on in Feature 22?

I only want the thing to call my mobile when there is an alarm...

    No problems,

    you will need to disable,

    AC failure and restorals,
    Low battery failure and restorals,
    over volts fail and restorals,
    everything basically except alarm reporting,

that way when your alarm triggers you know its a burglary..

then 971300# within 60 secs of power up..
