It's not exactly Brisbane, (Caboolture) but SatPlus have reasonable freight charges.
Most electrical wholesalers will also have it.
There should be a few around Brisbane.
I'm after 300m of RG-6 (tri or quad shield) Sat co-ax cable in Brissy. My usual haunt Pacific Satellite at Coopers plains does not have a web site anymore so if possible can someone please give me a hint where i can purchase the cable over the phone/or on line for a fair price. I'm sticking to Brisbane as I would expect delivery from another state would be out of the question.
Thanks.

Some Electrical wholesalers want around $75 for 100m and I find that a little rich. Sciteq in WA have a fair price for their 305M cable either in Tri or Quad but the trouble is they are on the other side of the planet. Not to worry I will make a list of suppliers and give them a go.
Difference in which respect?
Cost?... Quad is often cheaper than Trishield, due to it being more common.
Loss?... no difference.
Shielding?.. yes, the additional shielding in Quad rejects more interference, but realistically, the difference is not huge.
What is important is ensuring the connectors you have will fit the cable you buy.
Trishield connectors are usually fine for dual-shield, but can be very tight to fit on some Quadshield cables.. and just won't fit some at all.
There's quite a few variations in connector sizing.

LOSS I was looking at the LOSS but you have answered that question for me.
Cost I'm not concerned about the cost as you are correct in saying that quad shield can be cheaper than tri shield.
The main thing that concerns me is the diameter of the cable as you can imagine that some RG 6 quads are a lot bigger in diameter than some tri shield cable. The other day I tried but failed to fit two RG-11's cables in one 20mm flexible conduit and because I did not have any transport to the Electrical Wholesaler I used 32mm conduit instead. See I only have one spare 50mm conduit under the concrete patio and I will try to fit as many unknotted RG-6's I can in it without damaging the cable. I only need 8 more co-ax's but if I can fit 10 I will do it. The conduit run is only 2 1/2 mts long from one point to a weather proof large connection box in the garden on the other end. Its lucky that this spare conduit I have I have not glued the two long radius bends on the end.
10 X RG6 Quadshield runs in a 50mm conduit.. no problem.
Thats a local bloke near me..... It should at least give you an idea what your local wholeseller SHOULD be selling it for .... Its a little $$$ i know, but unless you're going to buy kilometers at a time, you're stuck with that price.
$89 + $33.45 + $3 = 305M of RG6 to you

Freight via aussie post would be a killer on that one to QLD... at least $40.
That seller is buying huge quantities to sell them at that price.... and make a profit.
You would probably find $100 - $120 for a signle 305m drum/box of RG6 Quad from electrical wholesalers to be a typical price.
Naturally, if you can get it cheaper from a local supplier, all the better.
I get it for less than the ebay ad is quoting from an Electrical Wholeseller.... Maybe you should ask if their pricing is current?

Nationwide Antenna Systems in Newstead used to be really cheap
My biggest problem is at the moment I'm not driving the car and i'm relying on public transport tp purchase everything.
Ebay is always worth checking, I got a 305 m roll for $60 once.
The guy (from Victoria) who installed the VAST system at my place (Gin Gin QLD) was using a double RG6 cable, one for the VAST system, the other for a future connection with Foxtel. I have not seen this type of cable advertised anywhere... has anyone?, more likely in the big city then here near the "Black Stump".
