I am a bit at odds with this perpetual 2 Part concept as well, I sometimes wonder if its to 'spread' out the stories because of a lack of ideas/
As for 'Clara', I think its any body's guess on how their going to write her out of the series.
I don't like the two parters at all.
Getting old and forgetting what happened last week. That ruins it. They used to show a repeat on the Saturday before the next episode. ABC has lost it IMO.
Clara started off good in her first episodes but since Capaldi she has become just annoying. I don't know if it is the script, the overdone makeup or her corny, girly acting. Probably all.
The 'Game of Thrones girl' would have been a nice candidate. I thought that was the best episode yet for this season.

I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
I haven't bothered to look for an episode guide but we must be getting close to the end of the current season anyway?
It's almost time for the Christmas Special again! (And the season usually ends well in advance of that.)
The other thing that's starting to annoy me is every bloody episode taking place on Earth, in the UK, and most often in modern-day London. I know it's cheaper not to have to build sets and CGI a heap of stuff but this is supposed to be Doctor Who, he has the ability to travel anywhere in space and time, I know I wouldn't be spending all my days in the same place.

12 Episodes.
The Christmas Special has got Professor River Song (Alex Kingston) in it.
So what number are we up to now?
And do two-part episodes count as one or two?
Episode 7 was on Sunday. So 5 episodes are left each part is one episode. The series ends on the 5th December.

I would rather neither of them, I never could take a liking to Alex Kingston for some reason.
This is just one article on some other possibilities:
If I had to pick from that list it would be Journey Blue (played by Zawe Ashton) as she was pretty kick-ass...
...but my all-time favourite choice would be Lady Christina de Souza (Michelle Ryan)...
...who only appeared in one tv episode but has made several appearances in the comic book series.
That about Jenny ?
As one completely outside the Box, I wonder if the writers might one day introduce a frumpy elderly lady who is still rather active and intelligent as a companion, sorta like "your mother". It might make for some interesting scripts, especially if she decides that she is going to travel with the Doctor without the Doctor having any say. She could mother him and he could become "the companion" for a time. Could be good for laugh.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
A male companion would certainly open the door for a female doctor in the future (now that we know it's possible thanks to the Master/Mistress) but I doubt Capaldi is going anywhere anytime soon, not for another season at least, so it may be a bit soon to make that leap?
Male Doctor, and Male Companion has happened, female Doctor could also be interesting.

And Clara Oswald dies yet again in "Face the Raven", I swear she has more lives than a cat!

Yes she has become the stereotypical companion that constantly needs bailing out of trouble.
Of course that's why we watch the show. Part 2 next week.
Cheers, Tiny

The information is out there; you just have to let it in."
What happened to the future Danny Pink lookalike? Is he still a relative of Danny or Clara?
And I wanted to know if Journey Blue was related to Danny Pink.
Source: WIKI on Clara Oswald. Maybe she could be re-incarnated, but, who can tell.On 18 September 2015, Coleman officially announced on BBC Radio 1 that she will leave the show at the end of the series.[58] Clara died in "Face the Raven".[59]

Thats the end of Clara.
Avid Doctor Who fans admit to tearing up over the death of ‘Clara Oswald’ (Jenna Coleman) on the series yesterday.
Coleman exited the series in the episode Face the Raven, penned by Australian writer Sarah Dollard. Coleman had previously announced her departure, but when and how were secrets kept under wraps.
At the Doctor Who Festival in Sydney on the weekend, Peter Capaldi admitted it was an emotional farewell.
“It’s almost like your affections for that person become mixed up with the character and you’re saying goodbye to the person, although I wasn’t.
“Somehow you overcome the emotion and find a little bridge, a little moment,” he acknowledged.
Coleman, who had already spent a season on the show, was pivotal on Peter Capaldi’s first day on set.
“The first scene we did was when the TARDIS lands on the beach at the start of Deep Breath. So I found myself for the first time actually being inside the box, which was a long ambition,” he said.
“There was a lot of us in that scene so I just had to get on with it.
“Jenna is so easy going and welcoming and instantly was my friend.
“She was the first person to show me the TARDIS set, showing me where to stand and how the TARDIS works. She’s great.”
Coleman, who first appeared in September 2012, will next appear in the ITV miniseries Victoria.

Well, at least we know Ashildr (Maisie Williams) won't be the new companion, she just shot to No 1 on The Doctor's shit-list!
