yeah, I thought it was great.
Working well so far.
Just watched the new Dr Who and its certainly fast paced.
For awhile I wondered when it was going to start and present the plot but it does, eventually.
One thing I am extremely pleased with and that's they have NOT Fiddled or fart arsed around the Theme.
They have changed the Graphics though, but that may change in the next episode.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

I watched it on Iview and except for clicking on here there and everywhere (after 10.30 AM ADST) it screened no trouble from start to finish.
I thought afterwards when I said they had left the Theme alone and play uninterrupted, would that be the same when run on the TV or would they do as that have done before, play 20 seconds of it then do voice overs promoting it and other programs ???

She has great potential! Reminiscent of Tom Baker. I must admit, I am eagerly awaiting more. Given that I was a bit sceptical of a female Doctor, so far, so good.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
First episode with the new Doctor was good, second episode was okay, but three episodes in and they've slipped right back into politically-correct-mode. I changed the channel halfway through the show.
Why is it so hard just to write an entertaining story without trying to imbue it with some kind of lesson on morality, is there some kind of hidden agenda at work here? They've got the whole of time & space to explore, virtually no limit to what they can dream up, with a well-establish cache of baddies to fight, and this is the best they can come up with??
Andrew
I'm with you there Andrew. They don't need to change the Doctor, just the bloody scriptwiters!

Too late! watched it a couple of days ago.

oh dear, they have damaged it beyond redemption......
I thought David Tennant was back for another stint? (I assumed in an attempt to salvage the show.)
I haven't been keeping up with the series but didn't Jodie Whittaker regenerate into him at the end of the last Christmas Special?
EDIT: Sorry, spoilers!
I read not to save the show, but fill in a gaop....
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Has anyone found a source for the 60th Anniversary Specials other than BBC1 or Disney+?
The first 2 have aired, stars David Tennant & Catherine Tate.
E1 is The Star Beast
E2 is Wild Blue Yonder

Available in 4k Dolby vision and hdr on most torrent sites.
Warning: pretty much unwatchable now due to the incessant woke messaging intertwined with storylines.....
Example, Donna noble has a daughter, black trans them/they thing....
Oh, and David tennants doctor is gay this time around, of course....

Thanks Hoe, I haven't used any torrent sites for years.
Was going to VPN BBC iPlayer but they're getting smarter & blocking most VPN's & eventually will get them all.
Can you direct me to a good site, PM if you prefer?

Just saw the announcement on IMDb...
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
The next "regeneration" is a gay black doctor with a blonde bimbo sidekick who looks suspiciously like Jenna Coleman (but isn't)!
Who the F@#K is writing this crap?!
I'll still have a look.
I watched the 3 specials already.
1 The Star Beast
2 Wild Blue Yonder
3 The Giggle.
Donna's daughter was only in the first few minutes of Star Beast.
David Tennant only acted a little gay in the first part of the Star Beast as he had just regenerated from a woman Doctor Who (Jodie Whitaker). The Doctor has always acted weird just after a regeneration.
The rest of the 3 specials was pretty much what I would expect from Doctor Who.
Me & the missus enjoyed them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Doctor as a poof, has lost me!

Aside from the odd Christmas Special, I quit the series a couple of years ago.
I just get so sick of having all these (not-so) hidden agendas forced down my throat. The writers are expending so much energy trying to 'include' every minority group that the 'message' itself has taken centre stage, leaving precious-little else worth watching.
The Doctor is (apparently) a thousand year old alien being, who for some reason seems to spend an inordinate amount of time in one particular country, on one insignificant little planet, in the outer spiral arm of just one galaxy among countless others, so why doesn't he/she/they/it ever regenerate into something non-human? Surely the extra-terrestrial demographic is being ignored here... Somebody better get onto that! [rolls eyes]
