Which way is it stretched up and down = vertical section
Or is it left and right ?????????
Hi,
I have a Teac CT-F6860 S tv that is about 5 years old
I have noticed that the picture is streched a little.
It is most wisible when watching sports and when they show the scores it is half off the screen.
Any ideas of adjustments that I might be able to try or replace any components
Thanks

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Cap C410 4.7uf 100 volt will get you out of trouble if your lucky

Thanks I will give it a go
Should be a stock standard electrolytic cap, should be small in size
I don't think those sets used a bipolar cap

I can't remember if the CT-F6860 is the same but the CTF683 has a 4.7Uf which causes this problem (C410) and it is bipolar. There is also a diode (not as likely though) but can't remember which one. You can get a bipolar from Jaycar if all else fails but I think it's separate from the rest of the stock, in the speaker section I think?? Otherwise use two 2.2s back to back.
Thanks guys.
All fixed now.
I finally got around to looking at it.
It was a bipolar capacitor in it.
nice repair for $2
