    Question iPad Hard Drive Adapter

    Hi all,

I am trying to find a way of connecting an external hardrive to an iPad without having to jail break it.

I recall being told about an adapter that was available in the USA but forgot what it was called.

I am aware of being able to use the camera adapter, but I believe that need the device to be jail breaked.

I am also aware of several wifi options (e.g. Seagate drive etc) but I thought there was an alternate connector option.

    Appreciate any help.

By the way I have an Ipad1 and an Ipad2.

    Thanks
    Pablo

Does the Ipad have a USB port as I was wondering if the Android Tablet I have could connect to similar devises using the USB?
A bit of an arse about way would be to connect the Ipad to your computer and access its HDD or maybe an external HDD that was connected.
One thing I have found is that 'Send'ing data from the computer to the TF card takes time, like 2GB took 25 minutes.
I have just been transferring Video to a 32GB TF card so that with the 16GB internal memory should be sufficient for general usage.

Delete the first part as I now see Ipod's dont have I/O ports at all, only the one Apple specific connector but what I did find on ebay was an adapter for the princely sum of AU$3.99 post free with SD and USB connections to attach to the Ipod.
This is called a Camera adapter with a 5+1 facility.
I wasnt looking for this or anything like it so I found it by chance.

Hi, I went the Seagat Satellite Wireless option and couldnt be happier.
500 Gb storage and a pretty good free app for the iPad.

I've been using this for a while now,

I might have a look at the Seagate option.
