Default Nintendo DSL Antenna or Cable

I have a DSL which was brought in cause the young guy who owns it dropped it and cracked his case. So he went out and bought a replacement case and then proceeded to try and replace it himself. In doing so he has broken the top screen cable and destroyed the wire going to the antenna in the top shell. I have a replacement screen for it, but does anyone know where I can get a replacement antenna and/or cable?

If he is in the same room as the wireless signal (router)
it will still work but it wont work through walls or anything
Just tell the customer its going to cost soo much extra
and is it something he really needs
Saves a you a lot of hassle and you get brownie points
for try to save him money

I had thought of that, but when i spoke to him he wasnt real keen on that idea. Would prefer to have it fixed properly. If I cant find one in a day or so I will tell him its a no go. Silly part is it wouldnt have cost bugger all if he had just brought it to me to change the case in the first place. O well, some people have to learn the hard way.

Drives me MAD when they try and fix it them self and
then they get us to do the dirty work for them
and i find most of the time they will bitch about the cost of the repair LOL

Yer he has already had a bitch about the cost to put it back together to which I replied "well here is the screen, you can pay for it and then go home and break it too" hehe. His father was not impressed and put the ol foot down and said no, you can do it, it will just cost me more otherwise

I can get replacement lcd flat cable (the flex from top screen through hinge to bottom pcb) and antenna cable from o/s supplier but they are not cheap - US $80 + Int Post

at that price you'd be better off bidding on a broken DS lite from ebay

    regards...

ahh crap! if only you had this problem a few weeks ago... or no problems at all. i had a ds lite for sale which i broke while playing around with it.. had all the parts too! i havent managed to find any websites that sell ds repair parts, except for screens, so best luck is to find people who are selling broken DSs.
