As always Bazzle - Much appreciated
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

    Hi Baz,

Could you post just the working setting/configuration/speedcam files only as most of us have the rest already?

    Thanks

    Hi Bazzle,
what is the difference between "Map 19.1 update" and "Map NT AU NZ 2012 Q2" ? Are they from different companies?

Yep, different map providers. R19.1 is a Sensis map, NT is a Navteq map. iGO8 and Primo can use both types of map which is quite unusual. Most Nav software will only allow one type of map although Garmin is temporarily allowing the use of either while it changes from Sensis mapping to Navteq.

    Cheers, Ian

    @Bazzle

    Two questions about your backup.

    1. In the root directory there are two EXE files Primo.EXE and i3-Primo.EXE. The properties show them as being the same version. Probably a dumb question but what the difference between them?

    2. How do you get rid of the school zone paddles from showing up on the map screen? Tired unchecking everything I can find about visual school zones without success.

    TIA

    Greg

99.9% Same file, just renamed from a diff source to try , can delete one.

School zones , in warnings, visual, diMkaWA skin.

Can't be the same file as they are completely different sizes.

Had already tried your suggestion but the School Zone yellow paddles still remain.

    O well never mind

Try them out and use what you like. I havnt found ANY diff yet.

Try a diff skin for the paddles maybe?

Hi bazzle, I'm trying out your backup and when it goes to show map i click on it and get presented with 2 files missing gi -ico status sound.bmp and and gi battery status.bmp. I think its got something to do with the branding zip i've tried a couple different ones i have from other primo 2 but no luck. Do you know of these errors or how to fix them. Thanks.

edit: I've got it working but it part of the screen is missing its running in 480x272 and i need it to run on an older unit 480x234. I changed the sys.txt, deleted the branding.zip completely but the bottom part of the screen is missing so i can't select to go back when i go into a part of the screen. If someone can suggest anything else i appreciate it.

The included skin should support your res ()
    Data zips ?? ()
Check ui-igo9 in your data zip for res.
What did you put in sys.txt?

    Delete your save folder.

thanks for the replies. I got it working. After trying other stuff and getting fatal errors- i re-formatted the sd card and re - copied everything over changed the sys.txt to match 480x234, deleted the stuff in the save folder(I had already done that) and deleted the branding.zip and it worked straight away! I'm guessing something got corrupted maybe when copying it over the first time. Either way all good.

The only way I've found to stop the school zone paddles is to delete/rename the schoolzones.spc file. You don't really require this file if you are using Sensis R19.1 maps as the school zones are embedded in the maps and will show the school zones speed limits only during the school zone operating times.
