skype local call cost

anyone else here use skype?
about 2 years ago i bought some skype credit and im pretty sure each call to a local number cost 10c.
i recently bought some more crdit and it seems local calls are now 30c.
is this even any better than having a home phone now?

i figured this out myself, its 3c a minute. this is sh!t.
i thought skype was 10c for as long as you like to any landline in australia.
any alternative suggestions?
also, any suggestions for 1300, 13 & 1800 number?

30 cents for a local call is a ripoff, with my telstra package I get free local calls.

Telecommunications is the biggest scam ever

I think we spend more money on it ( phone / internet ..) than food now LOL

I use skype but not for making calls to landlines/mobile

Who spends more than 5 minutes on aphone call now adays.

Depending who you are calling there are other apps if you have a smart phone, Viber being the most popular.
