Hi Guys,
I've been tinkering (I don't like to watch ) Since getting the season working in the slot of the Humax 5410z I thought I'd have a go at building an internal one. Finally got it going earlier and then wondered if I could get the season working in the slot of the Strong 4658x. Well I couldn't But I could get it going with the use of my Purple 2.21a cam!! Works a treat.
Now the big question. Could we use this Strong/cam combo to sucessfully keep a card updated like the Humax? I get emms with the Humax, emms with the Strong and to prove the point you get no emm requests from a dreambox connected. Food for thought???

I haven't played with the Strong that much, but it's my understanding that only the latest firmwares will pass the EMM's on to the card, but these versions will not work with a season interface. The older firmwares will work with a season, but will not pass the correct EMM's on to the card, so it still won't be of any help to you updating a Greywolf server.
If you find out different, please let us know.
As it should mate, but what's that got to do with running a season in the internal card slot?

The CI cam makes it independent of whether it is a strong or not.
Dave001 is talking about the internal slot which is affected by firmware.

1.10p was the old working firmware for the strongs with GW. Well the one that worked the best.. Also there was a lot of quick pushing and pulling to just get the strong going. And even then they would crash GW on yah, so no point going there for something stable.
