Its a brand new LNB the cabling is pretty much brand new with top of the wozza connections driving me crazy.
How long are you waiting after you connect the Vast box. You should get channel 800 if not check your dish alignment again and lnb. Your lnb should be straight up and down with the cable at 6 o'clock for here in the West, I live in Mandurah and get all all ABC and SBS channels Australia wide.

When you say that your Strong box works OK what Transponder are you on when you plug it in to the system try 12.407 and see what quality you get!

Maybe you could invest in one of these to check out your connections!

cheers for your input guys. its a single lnb one cable to a wall plate then small run to vast box. spent 3 hours re-dialling dish trying to get the most out of it. strong box is almost perfect but vast 6-12% which is a marked improvement on zilch.

as for the factory reset i set the box back up from scratch. i did notice though with sat finder in series that vast box was locking on at around 40% so i thought u beauty. took sat finder out and down to 6%. ive tried skew of 0% to 10% and just slight turn clockwise is on the money. will have to check cabling its the only thing that could be suss thats tommorrows job. least customer can still watch her strong box haha

So after a bit of tree lopping and more fine tuning I have the Vast box at 12567 at 80%. I still however have no signal at 12607 and 12647 which of course is the ABC streams. Cabling is fine LNB is fine I cant tune it in anymore vegetation that was even thinking of causing dramas is in a pile. I dont know what else to do.
I will be ringing UEC monday i think.

When the box goes through it's boot up, do you see it load the bouquets and channel numbers? Also, when you put it on the signal test screen, does the signal bar go into the green locked area?

If you get all this, then you should get everything.

Thats the strange thing it finds everything from a factory reset all bouqets channels radio stations everything Ive put a few Vast boxes in now and ticks all the boxes sitting 0n 12567 with 80% quality re-scanned a few hundred times cant get a picture on 800 every channel thats on a frequency past 12600 I cant get but every channel below (on dif freq) has over 75% signal and well in truly in the green. ABC even has EPG info with programs and times just no signal at 12647 or 12607 (800 is on 12647). Now would there be anything stopping the box receiving from transponders past No. 7 transponder as that what it seems to be 12647 being on 9 and 12607 being on 8. I wouldve thought the signal is well and truly strong enough.

You said earlier that you tried 3 boxes. As a point of interest have these the cards in the boxes been pre registered by your supplier?

I was going to upload some screen shots , but as yet this new version dosen't allow for it yet.

You've said you tried three different VAST decoders and they all do the same, so it's not a box issue.

    As per my post #11.

    Could be a dodgy LNB.

It sounds like its LO is off frequency.

    Try another LNB.

Ring UEC and ask for Wade and let's know the outcome.

mtv could be right, that seems extremely cheap to me.

That obviously suggests that your LNB settings are not the same in your decoder.

What LNB are you using 11300, 10700 or Universal, 09750/10600/11700 ?

That my friend, is the crux of your problem.

sorry mate its all correct Ive tried each setting provided rescanned and manually input settings as well rescanned. In regards to the LNB Ive used quite a few and the dual LNB in the same model and they seem to do the trick but is there a better LNB that I can use my supplier only has these ones but I dont mind sourcing from someone else. Im thinking it maybe the box itself. Im not taking on board the other 2 boxes I tested with as I feel the signal is definately better than when I had all 3 boxes there. I have a few more coming in the week so might just for curosities sake try another box again. Will still be making a call.

Something is not right with the LNB freq.

Confirm you are using the following LNB settings.

    1. LNB Power ON

    2. LNB Type SINGLE

    3. LNB Freq 10700

Yep which are the first settings I used and just for troubleshooting purposes I tried other settings. I even manually entered the above settings just to make sure.

Yes, but did you specifically save the changed settings when exiting that Menu????? The LO frequency must be the same as written on the LNB.
